Disclaimer
Last updated: July 13, 2026
This page is short on purpose. It governs everything on this site, every form on it, and every message you send us. If you read one legal page here, read this one.
The binding rule
The information on this site is not an offer to sell insurance. Insurance coverage cannot be bound or changed via submission of any online form, email, voicemail, or text. No binder, policy, change, addition, or deletion to coverage goes into effect unless and until confirmed directly by a licensed agent.
In plain English: nothing you do on this website buys, changes, or cancels insurance. To bind coverage means to put it legally in force, and that happens only when a licensed agent confirms it to you directly, in writing. Not a moment before, no matter what you have submitted or when.
Not a solicitation
This website is not intended as a solicitation for insurance in any state where Halvern Insurance or its employees are not licensed.
We serve all 50 states. Our license details are on our licensing page.
Information, not advice
Everything on this site is general information about how insurance tends to work. It is not legal, tax, financial, or coverage advice for your particular situation, because we have not seen your particular situation. Two businesses on the same street can need entirely different policies.
Before you rely on anything here, talk to a licensed agent, ours or anyone’s, about the facts that actually apply to you.
Scenarios are illustrations, not claims
Our coverage pages and guides include example scenarios: a kitchen fire, a slip on a wet floor, a tree through a roof. Every one of them is an illustrative example, not a real claim. They involve no real clients, no real losses, and no real payouts, and they are not a promise of how any actual claim would be decided. Real claims are decided by the carrier, under the terms of the policy it issued.
Your policy is the contract
Whether something is covered depends entirely on the terms, conditions, limits, deductibles, and exclusions of the policy your insurance carrier actually issues to you, not on any summary, description, or scenario on this site. If this website and your policy ever appear to disagree, your policy wins. Read it. We will help you read it.
